What I like in/about the book

My blog is about things I like "about" this book and things I like "in" this book. Ben Mikaelsen did a fantastic job describing every scene, and their actions. I love how he makes it sound so real, and makes it sound like it happened right in front of me, as if I were in the same room or place everything is taking place. I love how there are so many quotes and metaphors in the book, it makes me 10x more interested in what were reading. I love just reading over and over again the quotes and finding different ways to word the  quotes and metaphors and, how I can relate to each of them. One of my favorite quotes in the book is "Fall 7 times, stand up 8." I find that quote so inspiring, and I can relate that quote to the book. Even though Cole fell so many times from people always pushing him mentally, and his parents always abusing him and pushing him away physically and mentally, even though his parents never loved him he fell so many times, but the quote tells him to ignore them and even though you fell so many times, always pick yourself back up. This book is so far extremely fascinating to me, I am loving it so far.

Spirit Bear Blog (All about my drawing)

My drawing of a Spirit Bear describes things that I love. For an example, on my drawing I have some music notes in a shape that is on most soccer balls! See, I combined music and soccer to make what I have drew. Also, to the right and the bottom left, I did some designs because I LOVE drawing designs! Making/drawing designs are probably my 5th favourite thing to do! If you look on the right hand, below the arm full of triangles, you will see a star with a string attached, and that is a bracelet. The reason why I drew a bracelet with a big star on it, is because when the first time someone said "Spirit Bear" out loud to me, I imagined a brown bear, with a big star bracelet. I don't know why I imagined a bear with a "bracelet" on, but that's just what I visualized! Down below I will put a picture of my "Spirit Bear" that I had drew, and I hope you guys like it as much as I do!

A letter to Seepeezas teachers and there school facility.

Dear teacher of the Kalamak Indian Residential School,
I feel that it is my responsibility to tell you that the students should not be treated the way the teachers at your school treat them. You slash their hands which is abusive and they get hurt just for making a mistake. One student who accidentally wet their bed was forced to wear a sign in the cafeteria in front of all the boys and that's not right, because if you punish someone for an accident it won't make anything better.
You shouldn't be trying to change their culture because the Aboriginal people already had their own ways of living. They had food, shelter, education, and jobs before you came and took their children away from their families.
Sapeetsa's name shouldn't be changed to a number stitched onto her clothing. This takes away her value and doesn't represented her personality. It's taking away her identity and no one will know who she is.
I know you might be thinking I have no right to tell you why you should change these things. But if I were to put myself in the student's shoes I would feel scared, vulnerable, and alone and no child should ever have to feel that way. I hope you understand how I feel and how many people, including myself, disagree strongly with your rules.
Sincerely,
Eila

My Goals  ☯♡♥

1. What goals have I set for myself in the past?
Well since 2010 I've wanted to be up front, forward position in Soccer. I wanted to be the one to score the goals and have an amazing shot! I wanted to be super fast and go through every girl that stands in my way.
2. Did I achieve these goals?
In 2011 we started doing a lot more fitness drills and shooting drills. As the year went by I practiced my shooting, and sprints. I got really good so I played Mid position.
3. How do I know I have achieved my goal?
On September. 19, 2011 I score my very first goal while I was defender! After that I went to Mid, then forward, then Striker! I scored many goals after that. I know when goals are achieved because I know in my gut I did something good and I feel proud.
